Not much in the way of pictures for today, since there's some prototype components, and I'm not sure if it's ok to release images of them. However, I can show you the fully-assembled brakes:
While I hate these calipers, they're less annoying than drum brakes.
Most of what is left to do is all those little parts. And one big one. The torque arm will be finished tomorrow, but I need to plumb the brakes, figure out how to do the parking brake (or I might not worry about it for now, since it is an auto and I generally don't park on hills), and I also need to figure out how to mount the driveshaft to the pinion flange. It looks like the 8.8 Mustang driveshaft u-joint is a different size than my Mustang's 8 inch. I could take the driveshaft to an axle shop and hack off the back end and replace it with an 8.8 u-joint arrangement, but I want to bolt on fairly easily until I can just get a custom-built aluminum driveshaft, and time is running out. Best I've found so far is this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for putting an 8.8 in a Jeep, but it uses the same style u-joint as my driveshaft which is a 1310. So, maybe?
It's always the little details that get in the way. I just hope I can have it all done by Monday or so.
